For those who appreciate all things Caledonian, plans are already afoot for the fourth annual Scottish Festival to be held at the Hotel Green Plaza Hakuba,Nagano Prefecture on 19-20 November.
Boasting classic northern European architecture, the mock-Tudor Green Plaza Hotel is located in a year-round resort village that nestles at the foot of the Northern Alps. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, this stunningly attractive setting features scenery similar to that found in the Scottish Highlands.
It is expected that some 1,000 visitors from around Japan will attend the festival to enjoy the best that has made Scotland famous, including delicious food and drink, traditional dress, dance and music, souvenirs, an exhibition, plus other cultural events.
The entire hotel will be transformed into a miniature Scotland-but with an extra, pleasurable Japanese touch: visitors will have the opportunity to soak in the hotel’s hot spa. Whether you are a regular visitor to Scotland, have special memories of a trip there, or just want to see what the country offers, this is your chance to view, taste, hear and feel the true Scotland, without leaving Japan.
